Our history
The present company was created in 1986 from the “technical representation and consulting” of Ernst Fehr. In 2007, Marcel Fehr took over his father’s company and developed the business with an innovative and motivated team. The increasing number of orders for highly stressed moulded parts for rail vehicles led to the foundation of a public limited company, the SSC Swiss Shielding Corporation, and a branch office in Germany.
Subsequent developments in lightweight construction and focus on isolation materials for rail vehicles were trailblazing. In the autumn of 2020, the modern new building and the additional warehouse on the neighbouring property were put into operation.
Our philosophy
The success of the family-led SSC AG is based on many years of experience in technical prototyping, casting and plastics technology, and ongoing research projects in the field of highly stressed cast parts (lightweight construction). We never stop developing and refining our range of products. Our many awards and certificates are the proof.
SSC is active internationally and currently has a staff of 40 employees.
